Happy Valentine’s day!!! We thought today being a day of love is the perfect day to share Caleb’s adoption day!! We are so incredibly happy for this family as their dream has become a reality. Here’s how it went down straight from Will……..
We love adoption! We first heard the call to adopt in 2010 and traveled to Russia in 2011 to bring our daughter Lizzie home at 18 months. A lot has changed in the world since then, and when we felt God calling us to adopt again in 2021, we decided to look into domestic adoption. We reconnected with Finally Home Christian Adoption Services because they helped with the home study and training for our first adoption. We applied in February 2021 and began praying for God to connect us with a little boy.
Funding an adoption can be intimidating, but since we knew that God's heart is for the fatherless, we knew He would provide. We were so thankful that Finally Home referred us to the Promise Love Foundation. They facilitated our fundraising efforts as we connected with family and friends across the country. We ended up raising about 80% of our goal within a few months! God provided in some miraculous ways, including several anonymous gifts that awed and humbled us.
In September 2022 we heard on a Thursday that Caleb needed a forever family. We scrambled to prepare for a four-year-old boy to come home since we had been anticipating a younger child. We met him that Saturday and brought him home. He was a perfect fit for our family! He has so much energy and life and just needed a family that could give him love and consistency. People that meet him marvel when we share that we adopted him.
